I recognise that physical and mental health are intertwined, that one can affect or even dictate the other. A chronic physical health condition or illness can prevent you from being able to function or live as you would like to. It can also challenge your sense of your own identity.
I work with you sensitively and collaboratively to help manage affects and symptoms of your condition, including pain, fatigue, stress, anxiety and depression, and to process and work with the unique challenges and losses that come with living with a chronic condition or illness.
Your physical comfort is a priority for therapy to be able to happen. I work with you collaboratively to facilitate this. I offer video or telephone sessions if you are unable to leave your home. In the consulting room, you have a choice of a comfortable armchair or a couch with cushions and blankets. There is space to lie on the floor, if preferred.
As far as possible, I work flexibly to accommodate your health and medical appointments.
I support you to advocate for your physical and mental health needs so that you can begin to make practical and positive changes for your life.
The consulting room is on the ground floor of a building on Old Market Street. It is quiet and peaceful.
There are metered parking spaces across the street from the consulting room.
There are no steps to enter the room, however the bathroom is up a short flight of stairs on the first floor.
Please contact me to know more about the accessibility of the consulting room.
